Abstract

The design of learning tasks in invasion sports is linked to teaching-learning methodologies. The quantitative objective of the study was to analyze the differences and similarities of three intervention programs based on different methodologies, Tactical Games Approach (TGA), Direct Instruction (DI) and Service Teacher's Basketball Unit (STBU) for teaching of school basketball, 148 tasks were analyzed. The qualitative objective was to analyze the decisions made by the teacher during the planning. The pedagogical variables and external training load (eTL) registered in the Comprehensive Training Task Analysis System (SIATE) were analyzed. The intervention programs were compared using the Chi-Square, Kruskal-wallis H statistical tests and the corrected standardized residuals (RTC). Likewise, the association strength of the variables was calculated using Cramer's V coefficients and Epsilon Square. The results indicated similarities between the DI program and the STBU. The TGA teaching program got the highest mean quantification of eTL and eTL × time. The teacher in the service phase uses characteristics of the Teacher Center Approach (TCA) approach in the design of his didactic unit and does not apply his previous ideas in the elaboration of it.
