Confiabilidad inter-evaluador y test-retest de la prueba de alcance multidireccional sentado en jugadores de baloncesto en silla de ruedas: Una prueba clínica de campo

Poder definir el máximo alcance funcional que un jugador de baloncesto en silla de ruedas puede lograr es muy importante, sin embargo, el uso de una herramienta clínica para medir el alcance desde la posición sentado no está bien documentado. Con este propósito, se diseñó el Seated Multidirectional Reach Test (SMRT) como una prueba de campo para evaluar el rendimiento de un jugador en su volumen de acción y detectar diferencias bilaterales en múltiples direcciones. Se realizó un estudio sobre 30 jugadores (edad = 25,02 ± 6,39) de la selección argentina masculina de baloncesto en silla de ruedas, para analizar la confiabilidad inter-evaluador (n=32) e intra-evaluador (n=32) del SMRT. La confiabilidad relativa intra-evaluador (0,95-0,98) y entre evaluadores (0,91-0,98) fue excelente en todas las mediciones. Los valores relativos del error estándar de medición (SEM) estuvieron comprendidos entre 2 y 6%, mientras que los del cambio mínimo detectable (MDC) entre 9 y 16%. Los hallazgos de este estudio sugieren que el SMRT es confiable entre mediciones y entre evaluadores, y podría ser una herramienta adecuada para utilizarse como medida clínica del rendimiento de alcance y describir el volumen de acción en jugadores de baloncesto en silla de ruedas.
