Importância da coesão do grupo na persistência da equipe durante a próxima temporada: Um Estudo Longitudinal de Atletas Seniores e Estagiários de Desportos Colectivos

O objetivo do presente estudo foi analisar a relação entre a coesão grupal dos jogadores da equipe com a intenção de persistência na equipe. Para isso, um total de 413 jogadores de handebol, basquete e futebol com idade entre 16 e 39 anos (M = 22,32; TD = 5,30), completaram as medidas de coesão de grupo e persistência à equipe. A modelagem de equações estruturais foi usada para testar as relações entre as duas variáveis. Em primeiro lugar, os resultados revelaram correlações positivas da tarefa e dos fatores de coesão social com a persistência na equipe. Em segundo lugar, a análise de regressão mostrou uma previsão positiva e significativa entre a coesão da tarefa e a intenção de persistir na equipe. No entanto, a coesão social não mostrou uma previsão significativa quanto ao sentimento de persistência para a equipe. Portanto, a união dos jogadores nas tarefas de treino e durante o desenvolvimento da competição, contribui para a sensação de persistência em equipa, aumentando assim o bloqueio de jogadores por várias temporadas.
